Divya - Original Character Design

DIVYA
These are my designs for an original character named Divya!
She is feisty, full of energy and ready for an adventure. Her hair is a bit disheveled because she isn’t the kind of girl who puts a big emphasis on her appearance. I wanted her barefoot because she ain’t got time to put on shoes when she’s running out the door! She has things to see! She loves her culture and is covered in bold colors from her clothes to the henna designs on her arms and hands. Oh, and she is friends with an elephant. Cuz, why not?

This character is based on some awesome Indian women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing in my life. Her personality is based off of one of my best friends named Sammi and she was named after a friend I made during my time in The Disney College Program.
I want Divya to show pride in her culture and be a girl that everyone wants as their best friend.
Enjoy Divya! :)

Easter Parade - Judy Garland

Happy Easter! Here's Judy Garland as Hannah Brown from Easter Parade in the Fella With An Umbrella scene! One of my favorites!

* Cinderella *
The costumes in this movie were beautiful and I was dying to illustrate them in a way that felt like an old Disney Golden Book in the spirit of Retta Scott. Lily James was the perfect Cinderella.

Designs by the amazing Sandy Powell and all copyrights owned by Disney.

Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis

Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis. Has to be one of my favorites of hers. I did a similar portrait to this about a year ago and thought it needed a redo.
